NOVENA

for the SEVEN GIFTS and the FRUITS of the HOLY SPIRIT

                             DAY 3

             THE GIFT OF PIETY

Reading: “With all humility and gentleness, and with patience, support each other in love. Take every care to preserve the unity of the SPIRIT by the peace that binds you together. There is one Body, one SPIRIT, …one LORD, one Faith, one Baptism, and one GOD and one FATHER of all, over all, through all and within all. On each of us GOD’s favor has been bestowed in whatever way CHIRST allotted it…. To some, His Gift was that they should be Apostles; to some Prophets; to some Evangelists; to some, Pastors and Teachers; to knot the Body of CHRIST, until we all reach unity in Faith and Knowledge of the SON of GOD.

If we live by the Truth and Love, we shall all grow completely with CHRIST, Who is the Head by Whom the whole Body is fitted and joined together, every joint adding its own strength, for each individual part to work according to its function. So the Body grows until it has built itself up in Love.” (Eph. 4, 10-13)

Meditation: The Gift of Piety generates in our hearts a filial affection for GOD as our most loving FATHER. It inspires us to love and respect, for His sake, persons and things consecrated to HIM, as well as those who are vested with His authority, His Blessed Mother and the Saints, the Church and its visible Head, our parents and superiors, our country and its rulers.

Prayer: Come, O Blessed Spirit of Piety, possess my heart. Enkindle therein such a love for GOD, that I may find satisfaction only in His service, and for His sake lovingly, submit to all legitimate authority. Amen.

Our FATHER  and Hail Mary, (once ),Glory be (7 times)
