Reading: “JESUS said to Nicodemus: In all Truth I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of GOD without being born through water and the SPIRIT. What is born of human nature is human; what is born of the SPIRIT is Spirit.” (Jn 3,5-6)

     While at table with His Apostles before His Ascension to Heaven, JESUS  told them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait there for what the FATHER had promised: “It is what you have heard ME speak about: John baptized with water but, in a few days you will be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT .” (Acts 1, 4-5)

Meditation: Only one thing is important -- eternal Salvation. Only one thing, therefore, is to be feared—sin. Sin is the result of ignorance, weakness, and indifference. With His sevenfold Gifts, the HOLY SPIRIT enlightens the mind, strengthens the will, and inflames the heart with love of GOD.

To ensure our Salvation we should invoke daily the Divine SPIRIT with His Sevenfold Gifts for "the SPIRIT helps our infirmity. We know not what we should pray for, as we ought. But the SPIRIT Himself asks for us."

Prayer: Almighty and Eternal GOD, Who has granted us to be baptized by water and  HOLY SPIRIT through the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, and Who has given us forgiveness of all sins, send forth from Heaven, upon us, Your sevenfold SPIRIT, the Spirit of Wisdom, of Understanding, of Counsel, of Fortitude, of Knowledge, of Piety, and  of Holy Fear, that we may grow in holiness and enjoy one day with YOU perpetual happiness in Your Heavenly Kingdom. Amen.
